When purchasing a ceramic coating for your vehicle it is crucial that the correct preparation is completed prior to application. This includes:

- Machine polishing of all painted surfaces to provide a perfectly clean surface, enhance gloss and remove defects if desired

OUR PROCESS
We utilise a range of specialised detailing chemicals to dissolve oil based contamination and industrial pollution commonly embedded in the paint of even brand new vehicles during transport. Each panel is then carefully cleaned with a clay bar or clay cloth to remove any remaining grime or wax from the surface.
Following our decontamination process, we machine polish the surface to your desired standard. All vehicles having ceramic coating services completed at ZEN AUTO receive a gloss enhancing machine polish as a minimum standard. This process results in a perfectly clean surface for application of the ceramic coating and greatly enhances the gloss of the paint. For clients requiring a higher level of paint correction, we also provide full single-stage and multi-stage paint enhancements to remove minor swirls, hazing, micro-marring and holograms caused during the pre-delivery process, or deeper scratches and defects commonly found on older vehicles and darker coloured paints.
Once the paintwork is machine polished to the required standard, all surfaces are cleaned with an alcohol based prep solvent to prepare the surface for ceramic coating. We use multiple sources of lighting to ensure the coating is applied and levelled correctly to the surface. Our detailing bay is climate controlled to maintain the temperature and humidity at ideal levels for ceramic coating application.
Completed vehicles are then allowed to cure at room temperature or accelerated curing of the ceramic coating is completed using infrared curing lamps.
